Winter
Mount Parnassus is the ‘king’ of the winter season, the ultimate winter destination featuring two of the most organized ski resorts in Greece. During this period, the mountain dresses in the whitest of white and caters to everyone’s taste. For adrenaline lovers, you will find plenty of snow on the slopes and if you’re an off road enthusiast, their are many muddy dirt roads to conquer. If you are just looking for tranquility and enjoyment, then you can choose between the many local delicacies that traditional tavernas have to offer, a Greek coffee in front of your fireplace or a walk in the forest which is dressed in white. The village of Arachova caters to cosmopolitans, is famous for its nightlife and is now known as “the Mykonos of Winter”.
Spring
Few have seen the mountain of Parnassus dressed in its spring colors and anyone who has, will never forget it. In the spring, the traditional festivals are evident throughout Parnassus and during the Easter period, entertainment, joyful spirit and devoutness prevail. Enjoy hiking, trekking or horse riding, and view the beautiful and breathtaking nature. See for yourselves why the mountain was sacred to the ancient gods of Dionysus and Pan.
Summer
The summer beauty of Parnassus is unique. Enjoy a picnic in the cool forest, clean air, or a lavish meal in the picturesque villages without winters busy crowd. The mountain is also suitably located near some wonderful beaches with crystal clear waters, such as: Galaxidi, Aliki, Aghios Nikolaos and Sarandi.
Autumn
During autumn, the mountain changes its colours, shifting from green and adorned in all shades of brown and red. For those who love walking or for those who prefer non-conventional routes for off-road biking or cycling, the period between mid- September and the end of October is ideal. The temperature is pleasant and the days are still sunny. During autumn, fireplaces slowly start lighting up and everyone begins to await the first snow near the end of November.
